DUA , IT WORKS FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN IT.
Dua is the most powerful weapon given to us by Allah (SWT ) but most of us don’t fully comprehend it in our lives. We only go for dua as a last resort when all doors are closed. It should be the first and foremost weapon of a believer for every difficulty . Keep it in mind dua works only for those who believe in it.
7. SAY “ NO” TO NEGATIVE FEELINGS.
The prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him ) in his last sermon said:
“ O believers! Do not be jealous of each other , do not hate each other, do not turn your backs to each other and do not spoil each other’s trade . O servants of Allah ! Be brothers ! A Muslim is the brother to other Muslim (regardless of his colour, language, place of birth, social status and gender ). So they can not be cruel to each other , can not betray and can not leave their call for help unanswered and can not humiliate them . Allah does not care about your bodies and wealth but cares about your hearts and deeds. He said taqwa is here, taqwa is here, taqwa is here ; pointing his heart . It is enough to humiliate his Muslim brother to be regarded him as a bad person . A Muslim’s blood , possessions and honor are haram to other Muslims.”
If we Muslims apply this hadith practically in our lives there will be a great change and improvement in our interrela- tionships and love for each other . All negative feelings jealousy , envy, hatred and anger are strictly forbidden in Islam . These all are diseases of heart and if not treated in the early stage then it leads to severe psychic problems. A Muslim is advised to practice strict control over these destructive emotions .In order to maintain this one should have very strong ties with God. If one understands that all the universe is running within a wise and just master plan then there will be no space for negative emotions. And this understanding comes from the teachings of Quran and Sunnah
Allah says in Quran :
“ Do they deny the favors of Allah? ( 16 : 71 )
“ Do they envy men for what Allah has given them of His bounty ? ( 4 : 54 )
A true believer is always satisfied with whatever Allah (SWT ) has bestowed upon him. A true believer when sees something good with others he feels happy and wishes the same for himself and never wants other person to lose it . A believer desires while a hypocrite envies . Hypocrite is someone who pretends to believe but does not believe. To some people Allah has given a lot of wealth, some have power and some have beauty . While some are leading their lives from hand to mouth even some people spend their nights on streets. In this world you will never see a balanced and equal distribution of Allah’s favors on His servants. Why? Favors of Allah in this world are a test .
Umar Ibne Khattab wrote this letter to Abu Musa Al Ashari:
“ Be content with your provision in this world , for The Most Merciful has honoured some of His servants over others in terms of provision as a test of both . The one who has been given plenty is being tested to see if he thanks to Allah and fulfill the duties which are his by virtue of his wealth.”( Ibne Hatim )
In today’s world we observe corruption , anarchy , killings ,theft, robbery , social deterioration all types of crime which no doubt are outbursts of the feeling of hatred , jealousy , envy and revenge . Most of the people are not satisfied with their lives . There is a race for more and more. Everyone wants more money , more luxury and more fun .If a woman sees her friend or relative having an expensive jewellery set or good house or loving husband she gets jealous if she doesn’t have all that .Likewise if a man sees his friend having obedient children, faithful wife, growing business etc etc then he gets jealous if these elements are lacking in his life. Then he starts thinking like that may be Allah ( SWT ) does not like him that’s why Allah has showered all his bounties on other people and there is nothing for him . Then this feeling causes anger. He gets angry with himself and with the world too. If the situstion goes on then anger converts into hatred and finally jealousy takes place . Jealousy is the result of hatred and hatred comes from anger . It is usually jealousy that causes fights and conflicts between people .
