ANGER:

Hazrat Abu Huraira reported :

A man came to the prophet, peace and blessings be upon him , and said , “advise me”. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said , “ don’t get angry”. He repeated this request twice and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “don’t get angry”. (Bukhari)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“The strongest is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the one who controls himself while in anger.” (Bukhari)

Hazrat Ali said :“ Keep away from anger because it starts with rage and ends in remorse.” (Mustadrak al wasail)

Ibne Qudamah reported :“Satan , may Allah curse him ,said to Hazrat Musa, upon him be peace. O Musa! Beware of the sharpness of anger , for indeed, I play with the man’s fury (uncontrolled anger) just as children play with ball.” (Minhaj ul Qasideen)

Anger effects the heart and nerves of a person and makes him weak. Anger arises because of some pain , worry or discomfort and leads to many problems and sins.

HATRED:

Islam strictly discourages its followers to hate or despise other human beings but it only encourage its believers to hate all evils like disbelief (kufr), polytheism (shirk) and hypocrisy (Nifaq).

Allah says in Quran :“ O you who believe! Let not a group scoff (laugh) at another group, may be the latter are better than the former , nor let some women scoff at another group of women , may be the latter are better than the former , nor defame one another , nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad it is, to insult one another after having faith . And those who are indulge in these wrongful acts and do not ask forgiveness for their sins , they are the unjust people.” (surah al hujrat)

Hazrat Anus Ibne Malik reported:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me :

“ O boy! If you are able every morning and evening to remove any rancor (anger) from your heart towards anyone , then do so . Then he said , “O boy!” ‘that is my tradition (sunnah) and whoever revives my tradition has loved me and whoever loves me will be with me in paradise.”     (Tirmizi)

Science has eastablished the fact that hatred activates the regions of the brain associated with aggression and the motor regions that would translate this aggression into action.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“ Beware ; Don’t be enemy of blessings of Allah (SWT). He was asked , O Prophet of Allah (SWT), who are those people who keep enmity with the blessings of Allah (SWT)? The Prophet replied; ‘Those who are envious.’(Al Tabrani)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said :“Beware; Indeed a disease that afflicted past nations before you , has reached you like an ant and that is ‘envy’ because it does not eat hair but eats away your religion .” (Tirmizi)

Hazrat Ali said:   “Jealousy has deleterious (harmful) effects on nerves and heart of a person and makes him sick and weak.”

Hazrat Luqman said to his son:“The envious person has three signs. Backbiting behind them (whom he envies) , flatters them in front and is happy when they are in trouble.”

Hazrat Imam Jaffer Sadiq said :“There is no tranquility for the envious and there is no prosperity for the envious . Shaytan says to his gang ; Instill envy and disobedience among them (human beings) because these two are equal to polytheism (shirk).

Imam Al Baqir said:

“ Verily envy destroys faith like fire destroys wood.”

Abdullah Ibne Masud reported:
